Breast cancer remains the most common form of cancer among women living in the United States. More than 200,000 individuals will be diagnosed this year and 40,000 will die from it. No one knows exactly what causes breast cancer and there are no sure ways to prevent it. Research, early detection, and education remain critical not only to the treatment of the disease, but also to its prevention.
